History and Mission
The 1926 Foundation, Incorporated, was established in 2009 exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. The Foundation was incorporated as a nonprofit entity in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization designated as a public charity in 2011.

The Board of Directors promotes and provides charitable, community and educational services that further the mission of the Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.​

The mission of The 1926 Foundation, Incorporated, includes providing scholarship assistance to high school seniors and college students that plan to attend or are already enrolled in college. The board also provides support to other community organizations based in the Philadelphia area whose initiatives align with our mission helping individual from all walks of life. In total the foundation has awarded over a half million dollars.
