Scholarship Information

Education can transform societies and renew hope within our communities throughout the world. The 1926 Foundation, Inc. is working with Omega Omega Chapter to fill the void in funding for education. To date, we have awarded over a hundred thousand dollars in scholarships and to community organizations. The work of the 1926 Foundation, Inc. continues to have an impact in the Philadelphia area. The foundation offers several different scholarships opportunities for graduating seniors of the Philadelphia Public and Charter Schools. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dear Applicant:


The 1926 Foundation, Incorporated extends to you the opportunity to apply
for our 2021 Mildred B. Dudley academic, music, art, and education
scholarships. Male students may only apply for the art or music scholarship.

 

Scholarships are offered to 12th grade students graduating from a
Philadelphia High School, Charter High School or Catholic High School
who plan to attend a four (4) year college or university. Last year, over
$20,000 in scholarships was awarded.

 

The annual scholarship applications are available from March 1, to May 1,
2021 at https://www.the1926foundationinc.com/scholarship. All entries must
be received no later than May 1, 2021 and should be emailed to
akaomegaomegascholarships@gmail.com.

 

Scholarship applications are judged by the following criteria: academic
scholarship, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, quality of
applicant's typed essay, and submission of all items requested on Page 5 of
the application.

 

Semi-finalists are selected after initial review of submitted applications. All
semi-finalists must attend a mandatory interview. Semi-finalists will receive
an email with the date, time, and place of the interview. Scholarship winners
will be notified by June 15, 2021. The scholarship winners will be honored at
an awards ceremony.
